ClearMark Training and Services for Birds

As animals mature, behavior can change without proper training.  Studies show that the average companion bird will change homes as much as 7 times within its lifetime.  Most will be re-homed within the first 5 years of age. Training provides the enrichment that is so important for all captive animals. It increases the human animal bond, reduces boredom, and can prevent problem behaviors before they start. ClearMark Clicker Training offers hourly In-Home Companion Bird Training & Services to our customers. Our programs are private and customized to meet your needs. Discounted rates are available for pets that require additional sessions.
We are experienced in breeding, handfeeding, proper care and handling, training, and enrichment.  With using science based force free training methods, we can help you keep your bird as enjoyable as the day you brought it home.

Enrichment Program- Healthy Mind
Caged birds commonly become bored and
develop behavior problems and phobias when they’re not able to practice their natural, instinctive behaviors.
Our enrichment programs are designed to keep your bird healthy mentally using sensory, feeding, social, environmental, and training stimulation.  With combined training and enrichment, we can teach lethargic inactive birds to entertain themselves through foraging, exercise, and play.
Environment Program-Healthy Body
Proper living conditions can keep your bird physically healthy, brighten feather plumage, and prevent physical and stress related problems such as atrophy, feather plucking, and aggression.  Our experts can survey your home and develop the best indoor environmental and living conditions for your companion bird to feel comfortable and safe including lighting, temperature, humidity, location, and housing.

Feather Plucking Program
Feather destruction behavior can be caused by medical or behavioral conditions. We can work with your vet to provide you with a complete diagnostic workup.  All history and documentation will be kept with your pets medical records at your veterinarian office.  The complete program includes history, observation, physical examination, medication if needed, training, enrichment, documenting and tracking recovery.
Aggression Program
Aggression in companion birds can be behavioral, fear based, or seasonally driven by age and hormones.
By rearranging the environment, training, and teaching you to read body language,  we can reduce or eliminate aggressive biting. We will work with your veterinary professional for a complete diagnostic workup to determine what component, if any, is hormone driven.
