About ClearMark Training- Companion Animal Training

ClearMark Clicker Training is recognized for it's unique approach to animal education and training. We are the experts in getting results using positive reinforcement and force free training techniques. Our knowledge is based on formal education through accredited universities and training with the most experienced trainers in the industry. Our training methods follow the guidelines accepted by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and are endorsed by the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois.
ClearMark is based in Northern Oakland County. Our in-home private training allows us to come to you. We service the Metro Detroit Area, Oakland County, and portions of Genessee and Ingham Counties.

Shelli Kizner BS, KPA CTP,PDT,ABT, Founder, Training Director

Shelli lives in southeast Michigan with her husband Dan and their 2 dogs, Clara the Great Dane, and Buddy an Austrailian Shepherd. She is a hobby bird breeder and manages her own private aviary with over 28 exotic birds. In her spare time, Shelli volunteers at the Oakland County Animal Shelter for dogs and cats and she is an educator for the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing. With her love and respect for all animals, Shelli has placed a priority in teaching positive, reward-based training methods to her clients.

Shelli Kizner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oakland University. She is currently completing a Masters degree in Behavior Modification at Nova Southeastern University. Her continuing education in animal training and behavior has resulted in the following certifications:

Shelli has completed hands on training with KPA faculty and Purdue Behavior Clinic staff member Julie Shaw. She has completed additional training and behavior workshops with Dr. Susan Friedman Ph.D., and free flight bird trainer, show coordinator, and zoo consultant Steve Martin with his staff at the Natural Encounters facility in Orlando Florida. She has also completed a series of animal training chicken camps hosted by former Animal Behavior Enterprises Mgr. and first U.S. Navy director of training Bob Bailey in Borlange, Sweden.

By participating in forums and discussion groups related to aviculture, applied behavior, training, and dog reactivity, Shelli continues to increase her knowledge. She frequently attends seminars, expos, educational conferences, and hands on workshops to maintain her training skills t on new and evolving
